TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Agricultural Jihad Minister Mahmoud Hojjati and Belarusian Minister of Industries Vitaly Mikhailovich Vovk said time is ripe for Tehran and Minsk to reinvigorate their economic ties, particularly in agricultural and mining sectors.

Speaking in a meeting with the Belarusian official in Tehran on Saturday, Hojjati said it was necessary for the two countries to sign veterinary and agricultural agreements to enhance exchange of commodities and products.


The Belarusian minister, for his part, expressed satisfaction in the growing trend of economic relations between Tehran and Minsk and said obstacles on expansion of relations could be easily removed.


He further voiced his countrys readiness to export agricultural products, tractors and different kinds of agricultural machinery to Iran.


On Thursday, Iranian Trade Minister Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh underlined good relations between Tehran and Minsk, and called for the implementation of the agreements signed by the two countries.


Addressing the Iran-Belarus Joint Commission, Nematzadeh said Iran is ready to extend medical services to patients from Belarus.


The minister further noted that the ground is prepared for the two countries to trade in medicines and medical instruments.
