TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reiterated that negotiation is the only way to settle Iranian nuclear issue.

No doubt that negotiation is the worlds only option to Iranian nuclear issue, and there is no other alternative, he said, adding that this round of talks is a chance to discuss the remaining issues.

This round of nuclear talks is a good opportunity for the two (foreign) ministers (of Iran and the US) to discuss political issues, especially easing sanctions on Iran swiftly.

He also expressed the hope that the two sides could take fundamental steps in the talks.

Asked about John Kerrys remarks that the US would test diplomatic approach to prevent military operation against Iran, Zarif said, These comments are made to declare stances and do not help settle the issue.

These remarks will make our nation more stronger and firm to pursue their rights.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and the US Secretary of State John Kerry wrapped up the first round of nuclear talks in Montreux.

Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi and the US Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz as well as their deputies and EU's Deputy Foreign Policy Chief Helga Schmid took part in the talks, and discussed technical and nuclear issues concerning Iranian nuclear program.

Kerry and Zarif and high-ranking energy officials of the two countries would resume bilateral talks on Tuesday.
