No formal meetings expected between P5+1 group on Monday as the second round of talks on Iran's nuclear program in Geneva.
GENEVA (Sputnik) The P5+1 group will not hold formal meetings onMonday asthe second roundof talks onIran's nuclear program started Sunday inGeneva, a source inone ofthe Western delegations told journalists late Sunday."There will be no formal meetings tomorrow Only the meetings ofexperts, who will discuss technical issues," the source said.A few minutes earlier, French Foreign Ministry political director forIranian affairs Nicolas de Riviere said leaving the EU mission's building that the "P5+1 is over."

Meanwhile, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said it was too early tomake any conclusions, leaving the door open tobilateral talks onMonday.

Earlier, US Secretary ofState John Kerry met withIranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.Delegates fromRussia, China, France and Germany, the remaining P5+1 group members, also took part intalks atthe EU mission Sunday evening.

Suspicious that Tehran is developing nuclear weapons, the UN Security Council and a number ofcountries have handed downa series ofsanctions onIran. Meanwhile, Tehran maintains its uranium enrichment program is forpeaceful purposes only.

Several rounds ofP5+1 format talks have been held inthe past, and the current deal requires a long-term comprehensive agreement onIran's contested nuclear program tobe reached bythe end ofJuly 2015.
