TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Trade Minister Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and his Iraqi counterpart Malas Mohammad Abdulkarim voiced readiness to expand Tehran-Baghdad industrial cooperation, particularly in the establishment of a joint firm in Iraq to manufacture cars.
Nematzadeh suggested the establishment of an auto-making factory in Iraq in a meeting with Abdulkareem who welcomed the plan.
The two sides also discussed boosting ties in building industrial towns in Iraq.
Iran's first Vice-President Eshaq Jahangir and his accompanying delegation are on a three-day visit to Iraq at the invitation of Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi.
Iran and Iraq have enjoyed growing ties ever since the overthrow of the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, during the 2003 US invasion of the Muslim country.
