Tehran, Feb 16, IRNA – First Vice-President Es’haq Jahangiri heading a high-ranking political and economic delegation arrived in Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Monday morning.
Jahangiri’s three-day visit is made at the invitation extended by Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi.
While in Iraq, Jahangiri is scheduled to attend the Iran-Iraq Joint High Commission meeting attended by Al-Abadi.
He is also to hold talks with Iraqi President Fuad Masum, Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, Parliament Speaker Salim Al-Jabouri and Al-Abadi on issues of mutual interests, the regional and international developments.
Jahangiri will also visit the holy city of Najaf to meet several high-ranking Shiite Ulema there.
