Irans Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.[/caption]Tehran, Feb 15, IRNA Foreign Ministry Deputy for African and Arab Affairs highlighted the role of people in shaping developments in Syria.
He made the remarks here on Sunday during a meeting with the visiting Syrian media and press delegation who are in Tehran on the occasion of the annual celebrations to mark victory of Islamic Revolution in Iran.
He also stressed the key role Syria played in the region as well as the world developments.
He believed political solutions leading to enforcement of national reconciliation are the only way out of crisis for Syria.
Referring to the political initiative put forward by the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Abdollahian said the proposed plan by the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad too is a fruitful one which could be considered a step forward in tackling problems.
The Iranian diplomat further stressed the role of people as the only source to determine destiny of the country and said they will surely manage to administer the political process just the way they did about terrorism.
