Iran unveils indigenous tubular centrifuge
Iran unveils indigenous tubular centrifugeIran has unveiled its first indigenous tubular centrifuge to expedite production of recombinant medicines, including vaccines.
In a ceremony held in the capital, Tehran, on Tuesday, Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), officially unveiled the machine, which is used for high-volume applications in pharmaceuticals as well as food industry.

The Iranian official said the Islamic Republic has plans to build a hospital especially designed for offering full nuclear services to patients.

Iran has already declared that it wants tubular centrifuges for improving its manufacturing of biotechnology products. The high-tech machine could significantly help Iranian researchers and pharmacists to thrive in their cutting-edge innovations.

Over the years, Iran has tried to build up and expand its own pharmaceutical industry as the countrys health system has been hit by cruel sanctions, which effectively ban the import of drugs.

Western governments, led by the United States, have imposed numerous economic embargoes on Iran to deter the country from pursuing its nuclear energy program. Iran rejects allegations that the program has military dimensions, saying it is purely peaceful and is meant for humanitarian purposes including the treatment of cancer patients.
