Iran to host World Festival of Tourism Guides

tourismRasht, Feb 8, IRNA – Iran has been chosen to host the 2017 World Festival of Tourism Guides, deputy tourism affairs head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (CHTHO) said on Sunday.

Morteza Rahmani-Movahhed who was speaking on Sunday night at the opening ceremony of Gilan Province Tourism Guides Guilds Association in Rasht said that Iran gained this success in an uneven, tough competition, relying on high self confidence.

‘Programming within the remaining period of time can provide very appropriate conditions for foreign tourism attraction for our country,’ he reiterated.

The Prague-based World Tourist Guides Federation has two meetings each year in addition to training and panel discussion programs is a place where the gatherings of the next two years of the federation, too, are decided and in its 1015 meeting Iran was chosen as the 2017 host of the festival.
