TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran’s First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri has a plan to pay an official visit to Iraq in mid-February to pave the ground for the further development of Tehran-Baghdad ties in various arenas, particularly in economic fields.
Jahangiri, who will lead a high-ranking delegation, is to participate in the third Iran-Iraq joint meeting to discuss further development of mutual economic cooperation.
Jahangiri will also attend the exclusive exhibition of Iran which is scheduled to be held on February 16-19.
The two sides would also explore mutual cooperation on trade, technical and engineering, power and energy, building, sanitation and medical training as well.
Iran and Iraq have enjoyed growing ties ever since the overthrow of the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, during the 2003 US invasion of the Muslim country.
