President's adviser stresses Iran's support for religious minorities

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Presidents Special Adviser for Religious and Ethnic Minorities Affairs Ali Younesi stressed the Islamic Republic's support for the freedom of religious and ethnic minorities.

The Iranian government attaches great importance to ethnic minorities and tribal citizens, Younesi said, addressing a gathering in the Central province of Isfahan on Wednesday.

Iran's Constitution has officially recognized Christianity, Judaism and Zoroastrianism as divine religions alongside Islam and their followers are having a peaceful life and friendly relationship with each other.

He also referred to the ISIL and other terrorist groups threatening the region, and said, "The ISIL, the Taliban and their offshoot organizations such as the Buku Haram and are organized, financed and managed by the enemies of Islam and both of those fake organizations are today creating problems for their masters."

"This forged movement has now got out of control of its organizers and financiers and became a trouble maker for them," he said.
