Phase 15&16 1st gas condensate cargo exported
TEHRAN Feb 02(Shana)--The first consignment of gas condensate was exported from South Pars gas field phase 15&16, the operator of the phase Reza Forouzesh said.
Forouzesh noted that the first consignment included 500 thousand barrels of gas condensate and the second 500-thousand-barrel consignment is scheduled to be exported late this week.
Referring to ongoing repairs in the phase 15&16 and some changes in processing facilities, he said completion of repairs will enable the phase to raise production of sweet gas to 40 mcm/d.
Development plan of South Pars gas field phase 15&16 aims at production of 56.6 mcm of gas, 75 thousand barrels of gas condensate and 400 tons of sulfur per day.
Annual production of 1.05 million tons of LPG (propane and butane), and one million tons of ethane are the other targets of development plan of the phase.
An Iranian consortia leading by Aria Naft Shahab Company is in charge of development of both onshore and offshore sectors of the project.
South Pars gas field accounts for meeting 72 percent of gas consumption of the country with production of 300 million cubic meters of gas per day.
South Pars gas production is expected to rise by 100 million cubic meters per day this year while development of all the phases is scheduled to come to end in 2017.
