TEHRAN – The Iranian Intelligence Ministry has rejected rumors spread in social networking sites that a head of a private bank has fled the country.
Rumors quoting Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi as saying that the head of the Egtesad Novin Bank have fled the country are baseless, the ministry said in a statement issued on Thursday.
In an interview with the state TV, Hassan Motamedi, the head of EN Bank also dismissed the reports, saying such measure are taken by enemies to tarnish the image of the country’s banking system.
