Iran mulls nuclear talks to speed up: Araqchi

Istanbul, Jan 29, IRNA - Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said here on Thursday that the Iranian legal experts and negotiating team are to speed up the pace of the talks in a bid to settle the existing differences with P5+1 swiftly.
Araqchi made the remarks while talking to Iranian correspondents here prior to resumption of talks between Iran and the three European Union (EU) countries, namely the UK, France and Germany in Istanbul today.
He added the Iranian deputy foreign ministers are set to hold bilateral and trilateral meetings with their British, French and German counterparts.

Araqchi and Majid Takht Ravanchi are to hold talks with their British, French and German counterparts Simon Gass, Nicolas Dorier and Hans-Dieter Lucas respectively.

Director of the Political and International Security Department of the Foreign Ministry Hamid Baeedinejad, Foreign Minister's Advisor Davood Mahammadnia as well as two officials from Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Amiri and Pejman Rahimian are other members of the Iranian negotiating team.

Helga Schmid, a deputy to the EU Foreign Policy chief Federica Mogherini is also in Istanbul to participate in the talks.

The will wrap up Thursday evening.
