Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA - A high-ranking religious authority said nuclear talks between Iran and major world powers should proceed.
Nuclear talks should continue, although P5+1 must be held responsible for creating obstacles to bilateral negotiations, Ayatollah Nasser Makarem-Shirazi said.
The Ayatollah admonished sections of the domestic media for highlighting trivial matters rather than the vital nuclear issues.
Some sections of the media have clung to details of the negotiations and turned a blind eye to basic principles. Such stances will hinder efforts to overcome problems, if the odds of reaching a final deal grow, he said.
Despite his endorsement of nuclear talks, Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi voiced cautious optimism about reaching a final deal.
We are facing difficult situations because our adversaries have issued threats and prospects of a final deal are dim, he concluded.
