Azerbaijan and Iran signed an agreement on investments and technical assistance
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Shahin Mustafayev, Azerbaijans Minister of Economy and Industry, has received Ali Tayyebnia, Iranian Minister of Economic Relations and Finance.
During the meeting Minister Shahin Mustafayev said that the high level of political relations creates large opportunities for economic relations.

So far, the parties have signed 108 documents on cooperation including 30 documents on economic cooperation. Today 447 Iranian companies operate in Azerbaijan, - Minister said.

According to Iranian Minister, his country pays much attention to cooperation with Azerbaijan.

During the meeting the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in industry, agriculture, energy, alternative energy, transport and other sectors. As a result of the meeting, they signed a Memorandum of Investment Cooperation between the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and the Organization of Investments, Economy and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI). Iranian Minister was also received by Azerbaijans President Ilham Aliyev who pointed out that the countries have large potential for economic cooperation development.
