Zarif deplores finding fault with negotiators, unfair criticism

Tehran, Jan 28, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday complained about finding fault with negotiators by the radicals saying that walking with US officials during nuclear talks is not something new.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA reporter, he said that the radicals calling for confrontation with the western governments have embarrased the negotiators by criticizing different stages of the negotiations either at the table or on walk.
How do you expect the negotiators to proceed with brainstorming negotiations when they are subject to unfair and illogical criticism?

'I would like to express two points to all friends, the routine critics of nuclear talks as well as people, media and Majlis representatives. Firstly, all should make sure that their criticism should not be detrimental to the national interests, they should keep in mind that the negotiating team are representing the Islamic Republic of Iran and believe in safeguarding national interests and not to cross the redlines. Secondly, the negotiations have been subject to a difficult job by the illogical and unfair criticism,' Zarif said.

He citied the remarks from the Supreme Leader that the negotiators have withstood the confrontation with the enemies to defend the national interests just like an army division.

Zarif invited the radical members of parliament to prefer national interest to partisan benefits and focus on fair criticism rather than find fault with the negotiators.

'They have this right to criticize us. We respect them all but we expect them to think about the points they raise,' he said.
