Iran arms flotilla with anti-piracy system
TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers have designed an anti-piracy system installed on 60 local flotilla in a bid to make their presence in high seas more secure.
Habib Behdasht, the director of the project, said the system is working with high voltage. Aluminum cables are installed around the vessels. The system keeps the pirates away by electric shock when they approach the vessel.

The system includes three parts of cable control, a convertor and a high voltage system. The system does not make any damage to vessel equipment and crew.

The system would lead to more secure presence of Iranian vessels in high seas.

Now 60 Iranian flotilla have been equipped with the system so far.
