Tehran, Jan26, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani said occupation of Palestine is the cause of problems in the Middle East, adding that the world public opinion not only does not tolerate the oppressions of the Zionist regime but also condemns them.
Receiving the credentials of Jordan's new ambassador to Tehran on Monday, President Rouhani said the fate of Palestinians and al-Aqsa Mosque, as the first Qibla of Muslims, is important for all Muslim world and gradual occupation of the Holy Qods and expelling Palestinians from their homeland is unacceptable.
Pointing to Jordan's geo-political situation and its location in the neighborhood of Palestine, Syria, and Iraq, as well as the problem of terrorism and the present instability in the region, the President said Iran's objective is establishment of stability and security in the Middle East and settlement of Palestine problem so that the Palestinian refugees can return to their homeland.

President Rouhani said Iran wants friendly relations with Jordan in economic, cultural, and political fields, adding that the two countries can exchange views on regional and international affairs.

The new ambassador conveyed The king's greetings to President Rouhani, saying he would do his best to upgrade bilateral relations.

Abdullah Soleyman Abdullah Abu Romman said Jordan considers Iran as an influential country in the region and wants to bolster relations in various fields.

He said the problem of Palestine is a key issue for Jordan, stressing that a fair settlement of the problem is in favor of Jordan, adding Jordan looks to Palestinian refugees as its own citizens and feels committed to restore the right of Palestinians to return to their homeland.
