TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran resumed exports of oil and petrochemicals to Iraq, said Secretary General of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce Jahanbakhsh Sanjabi.
Irans power export to Iraq hit 1000 MW last year, and it rose to 1450 MW this year. Irans oil and petrochemicals exports to Iraq have stopped but it has been resumed now, he said.
Sanjabi noted that Iraq is importing 100 different types of goods from various countries, 16 of which are provided by Iran which include construction material, home appliances, industrial machinery and pipes as well as equipment for industrial and development projects.
He also expressed the hope that Iran can boost its exports to Iraq through increasing export of energy and technical and engineering services.
