Iran says production in its auto sector has been the highest among other sectors.[/caption]Iran said on Saturday that its auto sector has had the highest growth in production among other industrial sectors over the past 10 months starting 21 March 2014.
Irans Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh told reporters that the total production in the auto sector since March has been at 930,000 vehicles.
Nematzadeh said the figure has been higher by 63.5 percent compared to that for the same period last year.
He added that the production of trucks and trailers as well as combine harvesters have specifically seen a whopping increase of 148 percent and 144 percent, respectively.
Nematzadeh further added that Irans overall production of vehicles for the current calendar year of 1393 (ending 21 March 2015) will reach 1.2 million. This, he added, will be higher than last calendar years production by at least 95 percent.
