Iran flexible enough in nuclear talks: Larijani

Tehran, Jan 24, IRNA Speaker of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Ali Larijani on Saturday said Tehran has shown necessary flexibility in nuclear negotiatios and it wont be its fault, if the talks be damaged due to the present problems between the US president and the Congress.
Addressing a local gathering here, the speaker said if Western states did not enter a war with Iran, it was because that would not benefit them. They would fight us, if they could but they didnt because it would cost them heavily, Larijani said.
The reason that Iran should resists against the West in the nuclear issue, he stressed, is that the nuclear issue has become an example of their bullying attitude.

If (President Barack) Obama is not able to solve his problem with the Congress, he will be responsible for the failure of the nuclear talks and that would have nothing with Iran. Obama has to resolve his domestic problems, said the speaker.

US Republican and Democratic lawmakers have completed a new bill to impose further sanctions on Iran despite White House warnings.

President Obama warned US lawmakers on January 16 not to trigger new sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program, saying such a move would upset diplomatic talks. He also said he would veto any bill calling for new sanctions on Iran.

Iran has shown that it is able to resist against arrogant powers in the field of the nuclear talks and that it is not just a game but a manifestation of the fight against the global arrogance.
