Obama declines to meet Netanyahu during March visit, White House says

Announcement comes as Pelosi says Boehner ‘blundered’ when he invited the prime minister amid sensitive negotiations about Iran’s nuclear programme.

President Obama will not meet with Binyamin Netanyahu during the Israeli Prime Minister’s March visit to Washington, the White House has said.

The White House has said it wants to avoid the appearance of influencing the Israeli elections, set to take place two weeks after Netanyuahu’s visit.
