TEHRAN Jan 19(Shana)--Irans petroleum minister has said that mismanagement has been more detrimental than international sanctions to the countrys petrochemical sector in recent years.
The sanctions have not prevented petrochemical industry from developing, but mismanagement is to blame for non-development of the petrochemical industry in recent years, Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said.
There was no determination for the development of this industry, he said, adding that qualified managers had been dismissed under former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Zangeneh said Irans petrochemical plants would face no problem of feedstock shortage next year.
