Iranian researchers close to treating bacterial infections with solid nano-particles
TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers at Mashhad Medical Sciences University have managed to get closer to recovery of bacterial infection using solid nano-particles.
The researchers have applied nano-technology for recovery of bacterial infection, designing a nano drug-career which performed successfully on infections resistant against antibiotics.

Sedigheh Fazli-Bazaz, a faculty member of the university and lead author of the study, said methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus bacteria is cause of many infections.

It is necessary to select an influential drug for treatment of the bacteria and cleaning infections, she said, adding better drug-carrying methods could raise efficiency of antibiotics.

According to the Iranian engineer, nano-particles such as solid lipid nano-particles can facilitate materialization of the goal.

The results of the study have been published in Pharmaceutical Biology Journal.
