New sanctions to result in further enrichment: Speaker

Qom, Jan 16, IRNA Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said a number of Iranian lawmakers are seeking to ratify a bill according to which if new Western sanctions are imposed on Iran, the country will resume nuclear enrichment at any level.
On his visit to the religious city of Qom on Thursday, Larijani said Western governments led by the US showed in the previous rounds of nuclear talks that they are not capable of solving the issue.
Larijani added that the Islamic Republic of Iran is keeping a close watch on their actions and behaviors.

The enemies wanted to deprive Iran from its right to the nuclear technology and even resorted to military threats to this end, Larijani said hailing the resistance of the Iranian nation to excessive demands of the enemies to bring about national nuclear achievement for the country.

Underlining the importance of ongoing nuclear negotiations with the six world powers known as the P5+1, Larijani called for unity among domestic parties to preserve the valuable achievements of the Iranian people.
