Zarif to visit three European countries

Tehran, Jan 14, IRNA Foreign Minister Javad Zarif is to visit three European countries after the conclusion of his talks with the US Minister of State John Kerry in Geneva.
He is currently in Switzerland for negotiations with his American counterpart.
They had two rounds of talks on Wednesday and are to resume the third of their talks in hours.

They ended their four-hour second round of talks in Geneva just hours earlier.

The two diplomats held their first round of talks for 100 minutes earlier today. Then they halted the negotiations for 45 minutes for lunch.

The talks are the first of kind in the new Christian years aimed at reviewing the ways to accelerate negotiations between Iran and the 5+1.

Done with his talks with Kerry, Zarif is to leave Geneva for Berlin to meet his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Thursday.

After berlin, he will meet the European Union Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini in Brussels, Belgium.

Then, he will proceed to Paris to meet French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius.

Zarif is to discuss ways to fight terrorism and highlight the need to prevent offenses to religious holy notions under any pretext and in any form.

He will also review bilateral relations with the European officials.

Zarifs deputies are to continue bilateral negotiations with Kerrys deputies on Thursday in Geneva.

Zarif and the US Secretary of State met in Geneva on Wednesday six weeks after the deadline for Iran-Group 5+1 talks was extended until July 1st, 2015.

The Iranian foreign minister departed for Geneva early Wednesday morning along with his deputies Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, Abbas Araqchi, Director General of Foreign Ministry for Political and International Security Affairs Hamid Baeidinejad and Deputy Oil Minister Amir-Hossein Zamani-Nia as well as Davoud Mohammad-Nia, Mohmmad Amiri and Pejman Amirian.
