US scholar: Tehran confronting insufficient data on air pollution

Tehran, Jan 14, IRNA A US university scholar said Tehran was suffering from the shortage of relevant data to fight air pollution.
In a national gathering on air and sound pollution management here on Wednesday, Professor Mike Bergin said the challenge is turning into a serious challenge for Iran.
He said a serious challenge is presently existing in Tehran to confront which there is no sufficient information especially regarding the source of the tiny particles.

Stressing that micro cities are subject to many forms and kinds of pollutions, the professor underlined the need for a strong will to reduce pollutions.

He believed it was very important for the city of Tehran to identity major pollution sources without spending much.
