Iranian, Turkish ministers confer on interested issues
Ankara, Jan 14, IRNA Minister of Communications and Information Technology and special envoy of President Rouhani on Turkey's affairs on Wednesday conferred on interested issues with Turkey's Minister of Transportation, Maritime and Communications.
Mahmoud Vaezi in a meeting with Lutfi Elvan discussed development of infra-structures in both countries.
In the meeting, the two officials reviewed cooperation especially in fields of communications and coordination in international specialized organizations.

The two ministers studied enhanced cooperation in transportation issues, including construction of railway networks with Turkey, marine and aerial transportation.

Referring to shuttle of more than 60,000 trucks annually in the border areas, facilitation of truck shuttle was demanded by Vaezi.

He added that acceleration in truck clearance load in the border area of the two countries is necessary.

Importance of acceleration and taking joint decision to remove obstacles in the way of transportation between the two countries and presenting facilities in border terminals for shuttling trucks and helping decrease expenses were discussed and the two sides reached agreements about.

It is expected that the two officials to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.
