Sari, Mazandaran Prov., Jan 15, IRNA � Managing Director of Bank Melli, Abdolnasser Hemmati, stressing that the hard currency obtained by selling one drop of oil is being wasted through irregular imports said in order to come out of recession and compensate for the backwardness in economic growth production and industrial units should be specifically supported.
Speaking at a local gathering here, he further remarked that it is unfair when the hard currency is spent irregularly for import of goods that are produced domestically under difficult conditions.
He pointed to the problems created for production and industrial units as a result of the sanctions and noted that implementation of plans for the development of production and industrial units and sound support for production are among options to come out of the economic recession.

He underlined the importance of products of Mazandaran Wood and Paper Company and said while there is paper in storage of the company irregular import of paper is noticed.

Hemmati announced readiness of Bank Melli to support plans for the development of Mazandaran Wood and Paper Company within the framework of paying facilities and said the government should organize imports.

Also speaking at the session, Majlis deputy for Sari Mohammad Damadi, called on the Ministry of Education to increase its share of paper from Mazandaran Wood and Paper Company.

He said the sanctions have created problems for industrial and production units; therefore by halting irregular import of paper further we should prevent damage dealt on Mazandaran Wood and Paper Company.

Mazandaran Wood and Paper Company with two thousand work force produces over 185 thousand tons of different types of paper annually.
