Zarif and Steinmeier to meet in Berlin

Berlin, Jan 14, IRNA Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif is scheduled to hold talks with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin tomorrow, Thursday, about the nuclear dispute, Germany Foreign Ministry spokesperson Martin Schaefer said on Wednesday.
Referring to today's negotiations between Mohammad Javad Zarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry in Geneva on nuclear issue, Martin Schaefer told reporters that Iran's foreign minister in continuation of his bilateral talks with his counterparts in Group 5+1, will discuss interested issues with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin on Thursday.
Concerning resumption of new round of nuclear talks between Zarif and Kerry in Geneva on Wednesday as well as negotiations between Iran and Group 5+1 delegations in the level of foreign ministers, Martin Schaefer said that there is expectation that in a determined time framework to reach a political settlement for the nuclear dispute and consequently to remove concerns about Iran's nuclear program and total lifting of sanctions on Iran.

He reminded that negotiations have reached a stage that gradually need an important political decision should be taken and in Group 5+1 view, Iran should take an important and major step.

'We are staying in a momentous stage, now,' Schaefer said, adding that several expert meetings were held before Wednesday's meeting in Geneva.
