Tehran, Jan 14, IRNA - Tehran will host the 4th International Conference on Bridges at Amirkabir University of Technology starting January 24-26, 2015, said the secretary of the event.
��Farzad Hatami added that the event will focus on damage detection, health monitoring and using non-conventional materials and technologies in bridges.
The conference secretariat received 230 articles, of which 50 articles have been sent by experts from the US, Canada, Australia, Italy, Portugal, Turkey and Cyprus, he added.

The confab is being organized by the Amirkabir University of Technology, Transport Infrastructure Development Company affiliated to the Roads and Urban Development Ministry and Tehran Municipality.

Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, Iranian Society of Civil Engineers, Elm-o Sanat University, Istanbul Aydin University, Sapienza University of Rome, Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus, Iran Bridge Engineering Association and Iranian Society of Consulting Engineers will also help organize the event.
