Iranian MP: Netanyahu’s participation in Paris march foolish show

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A senior Iranian lawmaker underlined the absurdity of the move by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take part in the march against terror in Paris and described it as a “foolish show” to deceive public opinion.

Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency, Mansour Haqiqatpour, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission pointed to the Zionist regime’s atrocities against the Palestinian nation and said Netanyahu’s participation in the highly publicized march in Paris on Sunday was aimed at deceiving people.

Netanyahu, a “murderous slaughterer and the biggest sponsor of terrorism”  who is blamed for the massacre of thousands of  women and children in the Gaza Strip, marches in support of victims of terrorism in Paris, the Iranian lawmaker said.

In a stark reminder of the Tel Aviv regime’s brutalities, over 2,000 Palestinians, most of them civilians including more than 490 children, were killed in the Gaza Strip after Israel launched an offensive on the coastal enclave of 1.8 million population on July 8, 2014.

“This person is the greatest threat to mankind and (his participation in) the march was nothing but a silly show to deceive public opinion,” he added.

A string of terrorist incidents in France took the lives of 17 people in three days of violence which began with an attack on the Charlie Hebdo satirical weekly on Wednesday, January 7, and ended with Friday's dual hostage-taking at a print works outside Paris and kosher supermarket in the city.

After the incidents, dozens of world leaders participated in a march in Paris under high security to pay tribute to victims of the terrorist attacks.

Haqiqatpour also warned certain countries against the consequences of backing Takfiri militants in Iraq and Syria and predicted that the state sponsors of terrorism will themselves become the victims of the terrorists in the end.
