Iran’s electricity generation increases 5% year on year

Tehran, Jan 11, IRNA – Iranian electricity generation ever since the beginning of current Iranian year, 1993 (March 20, 2014) has been 5% more than the preceding period.
  According to Energy Ministry issued on Sunday, Iran produced 224 thousand and 795.1 GigaWatts of electricity, which has been 5.67% more that the first ten months of the previous year.

212 thousand and 784.3 GigaWatts of that amount of electricity was produced by thermo generators and 12,108 GigaWatts of it by hydro generators.

The production of the Iranian thermo generators showed 6.01% increase and the hydro generators in Iran produced 0.02% more than the previous year.
