Russian deputy FM to visit Iran for N-talks

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Rybakov will visit Tehran on Jan. 11 for bilateral talks with Iranian officials over the Islamic Republics nuclear program.
Rybakov, who represents Russia in the P5+1 group (five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) is scheduled to meet with Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif as well the senior Iranian nuclear negotiator and deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, Abbas Araqchi, the Islamic Republics Fars news agency reported Jan. 11.

Talks between Iran and the P5+1 group is extended until July 1, 2015 to reach a comprehensive nuclear agreement.

After the sides failed to meet the 24 Nov. 2014 deadline they also extended the Geneva nuclear deal, which was signed in November 2013 for providing Iran with some sanctions relief in exchange for Tehran agreeing to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities.

A fresh round of nuclear talks between Iran and the six world powers is scheduled for Jan. 18 in Geneva , Switzerland .

Ahead of the talks with P5+1, Irans foreign minister will hold a meeting with the US Secretary of State John Kerry in Geneva on Jan. 14.

The Iranian and American delegations will continue their bilateral negotiations in Geneva on Jan. 15-18.

Iran will also hold bilateral meetings with other members of the P5+1 before and after the talks.
