TEHRAN Jan 09 (Shana)–Iran’s Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said plans are under way to transform Iran into the region’s number-one suppler of petroleum equipment and items.
“We have plans to acquire the savvy for constructing ten groups of equipment and items crucially needed in the petroleum industry,” said Zanganeh.
He said, “By the time the plans are finalized, Iran will become the region’s number-one equipment supplier.”
“This is besides the fact that we are currently in a good state in terms of services and implementation of projects,” he added.
Moreover, in recent years, Iran has made a great headway in offshore pipe-laying and platform construction.
