Tehran, Jan 7, IRNA – First Vice-President Es’haq Jahangiri, sent separate congratulatory messages to his Muslim counterparts on Wednesday on the occasion of birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
Jahangiri expressed hope that in the light of teachings of the holy Quran and tradition of the prophet of kindness, the Muslims would further strengthen the bonds of unity and brotherhood.
Iran holds one-week celebrations nationwide – called ‘Unity Week’ – to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
As certain terrorist groups are trying to create divide among Shia and Sunni Muslims, ‘Unity Week’ celebrations seems to be of special significant this year.
