Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA � Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Thursday that it will be detrimental to social life if recession and inflation go in parallel.
Rafsanjani made the remarks in a message forwarded to the 9th entrepreneurs festival in Khorasan Razavi in the city of Mashhad.
Lack of employment opportunities will lead to recession and coincidence with inflation will bring about misery, he said.

Sound competition is the vital key to a successful economic administration, he said.

Rafsanjani made clear that to attain economic prosperity, the government should welcome innovation, renovation and presentation of new products and services through interaction with the global economy.

Explosion of population growth in the 19th century and lack of consistency with the resources available to the mankind led to more unemployment worldwide and social crisis, he said adding that and the economic officials are required to encourage creation of job opportunities to get rid of such social and economic crisis.

Rafsanjani said that the top world universities have put emphasis on creation of job opportunities and training to get rid of unemployment through cooperation with UNESCO.
