New gold mine discovered in northeastern Iran

Mashhad, Khorassan Razavi Prov, Jan 6, IRNA – Head of the provincial Industry, Mines and Trade Organization Raziyyeh Alirezaei said on Tuesday that the fifth gold mine field was discovered in the outskirts of the city of Kashmar some 217 km south of the provincial capital of Mashhad.
  According to the official the gold field has some 889 thousand tons of goldstones.

Some 1.4 billion rials were spent on the discovery operation as part of the mine exploration operations underway in this northeastern province.
