Zarif: Nuclear team pursuing no factional, political aims in talks

Tehran, Jan 6, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said here on Tuesday that the Iranian nuclear negotiating team is pursuing no particular factional or political objectives in the talks.
He made the remarks while addressing the Iranian Parliament's open session.
He is in Majlis to answer seven questions posed by one hundred members of the legislative body.

Zarif said the nuclear talks provided a chance to introduce the true image of Iran as a powerful country seeking interaction.

The nuclear talks, he noted, are also aimed at damaging the structure of the sanctions.

He said foes and friends are now confessing that Iran is not a problem for the region but rather is the most basic element for regional stability and security.

He said after the Geneva Agreement Iran's foreign policy opened a new chapter by challenging the hostile atmosphere created against the Islamic Republic.

He believed this was a part of the inherent mission of the country's foreign policy apparatus.
