Iran's GEI Index improved by 22 points

Arak, Markazi Prov, Jan 4, IRNA Iran's Global Enterpreneurship Index, improv ing by 22 points, reached 130 from 152 in the list of 189 countries, said director general of the Business Promotion and Assessment Department at Ministry of Economy and Finance in here on Saturday.
Hossein Mir-Shojaian told the 7th session of the Council for Dialogue between Government and Private Sector in this central province that Iran managed to achieve the success in light of efficient programs and strategies.
He said certain Persian Gulf littoral states are in more favorable conditions compared to Iran since they are enjoying certain priviledges.
Economies are ranked on their ease of doing business, from 1189.

A high ease of doing business ranking means the regulatory environment is more conducive to the starting and operation of a local firm. The rankings are determined by sorting the aggregate distance to frontier scores on 10 topics, each consisting of several indicators, giving equal weight to each topic. The rankings for all economies are benchmarked to June 2014.
