TEHRAN Dec 31 (Shana)--Iranian parliamentarians have adopted a bill authorizing stock markets to issue bonds.
According to the decision adopted by 136 MPs out of 212 present in the session, all transactions with sukuk, morabaha and other Islamic financial instruments are done through stock market.
Before this piece of legislation was adopted, all bond transactions were operated exclusively by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
