Ismail Haniyeh: Hamas-Tehran relations very profound

Tehran, Dec 30, IRNA - Deputy Head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh said on Tuesday that relations between Iran and Hamas government is deeply-rooted and such relations are not against any Arabic or Islamic country.
Haniyeh made the remarks in an interview with al-Aqsa satellite network affiliated to Hamas goveernment.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the Palestinian resistance to the Israeli occupation and the campaign to liberate the Palestinian territories as well as independence of Beit ul-Moqaddas, adding that having a profound strategic relations is of prime importance.

Hamas is determined to broaden relations with the Arab states along with those backing the Palestinian nation,, he said.

Hamas welcomes any assistance to alleviate sufferings of Palestinian people in Gaza and provide them with any unconditional supports.

Hamas supports the efforts for establishment of peace and reconciliation between Egypt and Qatar, he said.
