Dy FM: Development of ties based on Iranian, UAE leaders will

Abu Dhabi, UAE, Dec 30, IRNA Comprehensive development of Iran-United Arab Emirates relations and cooperation is based on both countries leaders will, Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said here Tuesday.
Tehran-Abu Dhabi relations are both of great significance and strategic and above all the leaders of the two neighboring countries emphasize the need for evermore expansion of comprehensive bilateral relations and cooperation, said Amir Abdollahian in a meeting with UAE Culture, Youth and Social Development Minister Sheikh Nahyan Ben Mubarak Ale Nahyan.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister highlighted the high volume of the two countries bilateral trade and the positive effect of close and friendly relations between the two neighboring countries on regional stability and security.

Furthermore, the two countries viewpoints on the need for campaign against terrorism are pretty close to each other and the Iranian and UAE officials always consult and exchange viewpoints with each other in various fields, he added.

The Iranian diplomat reiterated that under the current sensitive conditions of the region such bilateral consultations are in both nations interest.

The UAE Culture, Youth and Social Development Minister Sheikh Nahyan Ben Mubarak, too, said for his part in the meeting that the Iran-UAE relations have always been vast-scale and deep-rooted throughout history.

The prevailing developments in the region call for frank efforts made by all countries aimed at exit from the unfavorable status quo and uprooting all types of extremism in the region, said Sheikh Nahyan.

The UAE official added that the UAE has always favored having good relations with Iran at the highest possible level to secure both nations mutual interests.

Amir Abdollahian is also scheduled to meet other senior UAE officials during this visit on Thursday.
