New foreign ministry director general for consular affairs named

Tehran, Dec 28, IRNA – Ali Chegini has been named on Sunday as the new Foreign Ministry’s Director General for consular affairs.
  Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular and Iranian expatriates and Parliamentary Affairs Hassan Qashqavi in a short speech appreciated the services of former Director General for Consular Affairs Hossein Mirfakhar and wished success for him in the new post as the new Iranian ambassador to Portugal.

Iranian president has called for rendering more services to Iranian nationals and expatriates abroad, Qashqavi said.

He also wished success for Chegini in his new post.

Chegini served as Iran’s ambassador to Cuba.
