Four-year security plan communicated by Leader

TEHRAN (FNA)- Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami announced that the country's four-year security plan with an emphasis on human resources and building low-cost and effective equipment for the Armed Forces has been communicated to the Armed Forces by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
"In the four-year plan which was submitted to the Supreme Leader and approved by him last year, two major potentials of Iran, that is the human resources and manufacturing low-cost and efficient equipment for the Armed Forces were emphasized," Hatami said, addressing a ceremony in Tehran on Sunday.

"Moving from the industrial era to the knowledge-based era, building high-quality and low-cost equipment and pursuing network-based management instead of hierarchical management play an important role in the economization of defense, and preventing corruption seems necessary to materialize the aforementioned goals," he added.

Iran is among the few world countries such as the US, Japan and Germany that have access to knowledge-based technologies.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, Managing-Director of the Iranian Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO) Manouchehr Manteqi announced the country's plans to export knowledge-based aviation products and technologies to other countries.

"Supplying technology to other countries is a necessity as we can transfer our achievements and capabilities in the aviation field to other countries," Manteqi said in Tehran.

"At present, the headquarters for the development of aviation technology affiliated to the scientific and technological department of the presidential office intends to develop exports in two sectors; one is related to the exports of knowledge-based products and services and the second part will be dedicated to the export of technologies," he added.
