TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian underlined that the nuclear talks between Iran and the six world powers are showing signs of progress despite the presence of differences.
"The current trend of the talks with the six world powers is positive," Amir Abdollahian said on Wednesday.

He described the talks between Iran and G5+1 as "complicated and serious", but underlined the positive nature of the negotiations.

"If the other sides show a logical and positive approach and quit their harsh stances, Tehran will be ready to reach a serious agreement on the nuclear issue; the ball is now in their court," Amir Abdollahian added.

Elsewhere, the Iranian deputy foreign minister lashed out at the support rendered to the terrorist groups by certain states, and said, "We will not allow the terrorist groups to decide the future of the region."

Amir Abdollahian expressed regret over the instrumental use of terrorist groups by some countries. "We are witnessing a major battle against terrorism and ISIL terrorists in Iraq," he said, adding that Iran is playing a pioneering role in the war on terrorism and has been the first country to rush to Iraq's support against the terrorists.

He pointed to the US-led anti-ISIL coalition, and said, "The US has taken some hasty moves to form a coalition, but it is not serious about war on terrorism."

Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani yesterday underlined the fake nature of the so-called anti-ISIL coalition formed by the US, and called for cooperation among the regional states to fight terrorism.

"What is said about war on terrorism, including the fake US-led coalition, are just slogans," Larijani said in a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Salim al-Jabouri in Tehran.

Stressing that the ground should be paved for all those countries which are determined to participate in the campaign against terrorism, he said, "Determination to fight terrorism will be welcomed everywhere, no matter it is in Iraq or Syria."

"In our negotiations with the Iraqi speaker, we paid attention to this issue that the region needs security measures and these measures can be adopted through the collective efforts of all countries," Larijani said.
