Iranian navy planning for deployment in Atlantic ocean

Tabriz, East Azarbaijan prov, Dec 15, IRNA – Iranian Navy commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said Monday that the Iranian navy has plans for deployment in the Atlantic Ocean in line with the International Law.
 In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Sayyari said that long sea journeys are on the agenda of the Iranian Navy.

On navy drills entitled ‘Velayat-3’ due to be held in southern waters of the country, Sayyari said the war games will be held on December 22-January 2.

He said the naval maneuvers will be held in an area covering the Strait of Hormuz and the eastern waters of the Strait, including the Sea of Oman and northern Indian Ocean.
