Secretary of SNSC condemns Karbala explosions

Abadan, Khuzestan province, Dec 12, IRNA Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) condemned explosions in Karbala city on Friday early morning.
Ali Shamkhani told IRNA here on Friday that terrorist acts are not acceptable in any religion and terrorism is against the spirit of Islam.
He said that Kurds, Shia and Sunni Muslims in Iraq are defending their national security, adding that Takfiris are trying to tarnish image of Islam.

Shamkhani said he is confident that in cooperation with Iraqi people, the country will witness a sustainable security and anti Islamic groups will be removed from the area.

Sounds of six explosions were heard in surrounding areas of Karbala city on early Friday morning, which left one dead and four wounded, none of them Iranian, an official from Iran's Red Crescent Society declared.
