Iran, Iraq, Syria FMs hold tripartite talks

Tehran, Dec 9, IRNA Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, his Syrian counterpart Walid Moallem and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq Ibrahim Jafari held tripartite talks in Tehran on Tuesday on the latest regional and international issues.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the first conference on World Against Violence and Extremism which is currently underway in Tehran.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said that Iran, Syria and Iraq are determined to find a solution to regional problems through dialogue.

Underlining that terrorism is a major threat to the entire region, Afkham said that Iran plays a key role in solving this crisis.

Afkham said she believed that the trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Iran, Iraq and Syria could clear the way for settling the crisis across the region.
