Expansion of Iran-Vietnam ties will promote economic indices
Mashhad, Dec 7, IRNA Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Hong Thach said on Sunday that promoting Iran-Vietnam ties will improve economic indices of the two countries.
In a meeting with Khorasan Razavi province, he said that his Mashhad visit is aimed at studying ways for economic development and using the province's capacities in line enhancing relations.
'Vietnam is ready to invest in Iran's tourism industry and handicrafts such as Mashhad carpets,' he said.

Calling for holding exclusive exhibits in the two countries' provinces, he further noted that exchanging economic and commercial delegations will lead to promotion of bilateral ties.

Governor General, Ali Reza Rashidian, for his part referred to the two countries' 40-year-old ties, saying that utilizing existing capacities will help foster Iran-Hanoi ties.

'Certain products of Vietnam have proper market in Iran, which if enter the latter directly without interference of third country, will contribute to its economic growth,' he said.

Rashidian underlined the need to conclude sisterhood agreement between Khorasan Razavi province and a Vietnamese province and forge closer ties through municipalities.

Holding various exhibitions is the main way for increasing economic communications between Khorasan Razavi province and Vietnam, he noted.

Taking advantage of Khorasan Razavi province's transit capacities, Vietnam goods can be transferred to Afghanistan and the Central Asian states.
